  • Personal Notes: Notes you add to questions for study purposes
  • Language Preferences: Your selected language and bilingual mode settings
  • Study Progress: Questions you've viewed, practice quiz results, and accuracy statistics

Automatically Collected Information

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version
  • Usage Data: Features used, time spent in app, and navigation patterns
  • Crash Reports: Technical diagnostic data if the app crashes

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Provide App Functionality: To display state-specific answers, save your notes, track progress, and maintain your preferences
  • Improve User Experience: To understand how users interact with the app and make improvements

  • Analytics: To understand app usage patterns and improve features (using anonymized data)

3. Data Storage

Local Storage: All your study data (notes, progress, preferences, viewed questions) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to back it up through your device's cloud backup (iCloud for iOS, Google Drive for Android).

Offline Functionality: The app works 100% offline. All 128 questions and translations are downloaded and stored on your device. No internet connection is required after initial installation.

4. Third-Party Services

AdMob (Google)

The free version of our app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers, IP addresses, and usage information to serve relevant ads. Premium users do not see advertisements.

In-App Purchases (Apple/Google)

When you purchase the premium upgrade, the transaction is processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). We do not store your payment information. The purchase is tied to your Apple ID or Google account.

Analytics

We may use analytics services to understand app usage patterns. These services collect anonymized data and do not identify you personally.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process
  • Protection of Rights: To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

6. Your Rights and Choices

Access and Control

  • Delete Data: You can delete all your data by uninstalling the app or using the "Clear Data" option in Settings
  • Manage Preferences: You can change language, theme, and other settings anytime in the app
  • Opt-Out of Ads: Upgrade to Premium to remove all advertisements

Premium Purchase Management

  • Restore Purchases: You can restore your premium status on new devices using the "Restore Purchases" option
  • Refunds: Handled through Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their refund policies

7. Children's Privacy

Our app is intended for users preparing for US citizenship naturalization. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us to have it removed.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Since all data is stored locally on your device, we recommend:

  • Using device passcode/biometric protection
  • Keeping your device's operating system up to date
  • Not sharing your device with untrusted individuals

9. International Users

Our app is designed for individuals preparing for US citizenship. If you use our app from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and stored in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, if required, through in-app notifications. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
